The 137th Rose Parade, which took place on January 1, 2026, had the theme "The Magic in Teamwork." This was chosen by Tournament of Roses President Mark Leavens to honor the amazing things that happen when people work together to reach a goal. This theme meant a lot to the people in Pasadena and Altadena because it honored how strong they were after the terrible wildfires of 2025. Earvin "Magic" Johnson, a legendary NBA player and philanthropist, led the 5.5-mile parade as Grand Marshal. His career on the court and dedication to community service were perfect examples of the year's message. The parade had an amazing display of flower floats, such as the "Giant Strides Together" float from the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, which was inspired by elephants, and the "Gulf to Gumbo" float from Louisiana, which was bright and colorful. There were also world-class performances by artists like Bishop Briggs, John Foster, and the pop duo Capital Cities. Even though it was supposed to rain on New Year's Day, the event went off without a hitch and showed off the skills of 18 marching bands and many equestrian units. It ended with a celebration of unity that led into the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl.
