FC Barcelona Atlètic, or Barça Atlètic, is FC Barcelona's most important reserve team. It is the last step for young players moving up from the La Masia academy to the senior professional level. The team was formed in 1970 and plays in the Spanish football league pyramid, but it can't play in the same division as the first team or the Copa del Rey. The team is currently in the Segunda Federación (the fourth tier) for the 2025–2026 season after being demoted. Juliano Belletti, a club legend, is the head coach. The team continues its tradition of developing top prospects like Guille Fernández and Diego Kochen under his leadership. They play their home games at the 6,000-seat Estadi Johan Cruyff, where they focus on a high-intensity, possession-based style of play that is a big part of the club's identity.
